Popular local amateur cricket club covering the Normanhurst, Thornleigh and Warrawee areas, originally founded in 1926. Fielding senior teams, junior teams, girls teams & Junior and Master Blaster Programs. Although the club enjoys considerable success and premierships each year, the main focus is on enjoyment and participation.

Normanhurst-Warrawee Cricket Club offers a range of Australian Cricket Formats.
Recommended ages and abilities for players are listed below. Unless specified all formats are mixed gender and open to both boys and girls.
Girls are particularly encouraged to play in any of the mixed competitions which are played on Saturday mornings. The girls only competition (u10/u11) will be played on a Friday evening in day-light saving.
Cricket Blast
Recommended age: 5 to 8, run on a Friday afternoon at Normanhurst Oval, for up to 8 weeks, starting 18 October 2024.
Girls Cricket
Girls Only Cricket Stage 1 - skill rather than age based (but indicative U10/11 - 20 over games on a Friday evening.
Girls Only Cricket Stage 2 – indicative age U12/13, games played on Saturday morning.
Mixed Junior Cricket
Junior Cricket Under 9 - This is your introduction to Saturday cricket. 16 over games on 14m wicket, all players bat, bowl and field equally - focus is on participation and skill development - Games are 90 minutes.
Junior Cricket Stage 1 (U10 and U11) (preferably players can bowl 16m with a straight arm) - 20 over games on 16m wicket, all players bat, bowl and field equally - focus is on participation and skill development - games are two hours.
Junior Cricket Stage 2 (U12 and U13) - 30 over one-day games on 18m wicket, out is out format but all players participate due to batting retirements and shared bowling/keeping opportunities
Junior Cricket Stage 3 (U14 to U17) - 30 over one-day games on full length wicket, traditional format with 50m boundaries - more runs scored.
Age cut offs for a particular grade is that a player must be under the age of the nominated age group as listed on 31 August of that playing season. For example to play U14s, your child needs to be 13 years of age or under as at 31 August 2024. However, players in the under 8/9 to under 11 (Junior Cricket Stage 1) age group should pick the format of cricket applicable to their skill level.
Training times are determined by individual teams. All teams will have a kit that players can use gear from. New players to the club are provided with a playing and training shirt the first time they register.
Senior Cricket
Normanhurst-Warrawee caters for players of all ages and abilities. We will generally field at least one team somewhere in each of A, B and C grade in the HKHDCA competition. Last year we had an A grade, B grade and two C grade senior teams.
